One word of caution if you are bringing large luggage there’s... read more a steep and narrow staircase (in addition to the uneven cobblestone streets of Alfama) so I encourage you to instead pack lightly!

She provided very helpful information that any traveller would need. The house is very close to a bus route, Metro and train station so easy to get around from there. It’s also sparkling clean, uniquely decorated and an interesting historical family home where she actually grew up! We would definitely recommend Paula’s house and would stay there again.

  Very good value fir money caravan stay. Location is great for visiting neighbouring Hastings, Rye and Camber or even local area of Winchelsea. I will definetely use it again

Very clean and cosy little apartment in Alfama, directly by the flea market. We were impressed how there was everything you could possibly need in such a little place. Even... read more for kids there is a chair and cutlery and everything. We enjoyed the terrace and the beautiful park right next to the place. The neighborhood is very safe and local. Paula is very thoughtful and caring, always checking if everything is ok. There was even water, wine and delicious Pateis de Nata awaiting us in the flat. All in all highly recommendable!
